Salt Lake based documentary “REMARKABLE: Marc’s Story” to host digital premiere May 21st-23rd
Murray, UT— May 14, 2021 — SSOP Productions/Tucker Dansie Films will host an online “digital premiere” of the documentary short “REMARKABLE: Marc’s Story” on May 21st-23rd, 2021 at http://ssopproductions.eventbrite.com
“Marc’s Story” is an inspirational short documentary (38 min) that reflects on a 25 year-old tragedy and how the events impacted a group of Murray friends. In January of 1996, Marc Simons was 18 years old and a senior at Murray High School when he was tragically killed in a four-wheeling accident that shook the community of Murray, UT. Local filmmaker and friend of Marc, Tucker T Dansie, through interviews with his closest friends, tells how his life and death have affected them throughout their lives.
“REMARKABLE: Marc’s Story” is the first episode in a planned documentary anthology series, each episode focusing on remarkable people with remarkable stories. The series is created and directed by Tucker T Dansie, a Salt Lake City based filmmaker who helped create the wildly successful “Mormon Messages” campaign for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, “REMARKABLE: Marc’s Story” will host an online digital premiere through Eventbrite (http://ssopproductions.eventbrite.com). With a donation of any amount you will have access to the film throughout the weekend to watch at your convenience, with your first chance Friday May 21st at 7:00pm. Donations will go to offset production costs, contribute to future productions in the series and help with seeking distribution.
“The REMARKABLE series is meant to tell the stories of local hero’s, who have done remarkable things, big or small” says Dansie, who has 4 other episodes in pre-production, all telling of Salt Lake based remarkable stories. “Marc’s Story was truly a labor of love. I wanted to celebrate the life of my friend and show how he influenced a generation of Murray High School students.”
